FRIENDS’ COOKBOOK

The Friends of Kodak Library (Tennessee) awarded complimentary memberships to Citizens National Bank’s Kodak Branch, Food City of Kodak, and Kodak Trade Center, in appreciation of the wonderful job they have done selling the Friends’ A Second Helping of the Kodak Historical Cookbook. In one fiscal year, the three businesses sold more than $1,000 worth of cookbooks.

RECESSION SPECIAL

The Friends of the Burbank Public Library (California) offered a “Recession Special” in 2009 for those whose membership expired over the summer. Members could renew through Dec. 31, 2009, and their membership was in good standing through Dec. 31, 2010, which offered up to six months of free membership. Dues remained at the same low prices—$15 (Friend) to $500 (Lifetime Friend).
